What is DTF? | Direct to Film Printing Explained – Shamus & Co
What is DTF Printing?
DTF stands for Direct to Film — the highest quality custom printing method available today.
Unlike old screen printing or vinyl, DTF prints your design onto a special film, then uses heat to transfer it onto **any fabric or color** with vibrant, long-lasting results.
How DTF Printing Works (4 Simple Steps)
-
Design
Upload your artwork or let us create it for you. -
We Print
Your design is printed on premium DTF film using white ink + full color. -
Heat Press
We (or you) press at 310–320°F for 12–15 seconds. -
Peel & Wear
Ready to wear! Soft, stretchy, and durable.
